EntryGuard®
The standard EntryGuard® product offering includes four single lite options and two insulated glass options. These products are available in varying thicknesses and can be produced in lites up to 30 ft2. The IGU options are able to accommodate your project needs of matching surrounding glass tints, low-e coatings, or tinted low-e coatings.
EntryGuard® glazing products are commonly used in buildings at the point of entry, surrounding glazing locations, vestibules, and other accessible glazing locations.
Manko is currently in the process of developing a full system that will be tested to the new ASTM F3561
Product Features
- Designed for added response time in the event of an attack or active shooter
- Stays together when impacted and glass broken
- Resists tearing, or hole formation after being shot
- Four single lite products (EG3, EG8, EG9, EG10), with varying tinted interlayer options
- Two insulated products (EG3 IGU, EG8 IGU), can be insulated with any soft-coat low-e glass type
- New construction or retrofit applications
- Glazed into Storefront, Curtain Wall, Doors, or Aluminum Windows
- Consult Manko to make sure specified system can accommodate EntryGuard® glass thickness.
Additional EntryGuard® Information
1) ASTM F1233 Forced Entry rating is for glass only, not system, glass tested per ASTM F1233, test size is 29 3/4” x 29 3/4”, ASTM F1233 is recognized by NGA.
2) HP White 5-aa1 testing is performed in a Manko door following Manko’s installation recommendations.
3) All EntryGuard® single lite tests were performed with 1/8” glass substrates. All IGU tests were performed with 1/4” outboard lite, non-metallic airspacer, EntryGuard® single lite with 1/8” substrates.
4) Manko can only make installation recommendations to help prevent glass from breaking out of opening, however overall systems are not tested.
5) All EntryGuard® products are designed to be forced entry resistant, however none are bullet resistant.
