The need for a more thermally efficient window led to the development of the Manko "i" series window system. This family of windows uses a 24mm polyamide crimped‑in‑place strut in lieu of the traditional two‑part poured and debridged system. Operable sash sections maintain a 2 3/4” depth across the "i" series windows. These combinations allow for the desired increase in thermal performance, retain the economy of the 2 3/4” operable vents, while avoiding the hinging and locking issues inherent with a deep operable sash.
