The need for a more thermally efficient sliding window led to the development of the 2135xpt and 2141xpt. The Architectural Grade (AW) window systems can be produced as either an XO, OX, or OXO configuration (O = Stationary, X = Operable). These sliding windows are constructed utilizing varying sized polyamide strut and thermal barriers in lieu of the traditional two-part poured and debridged thermal break. The 2135xpt has an overall frame depth of 3 1/2", while the 2141xpt has an overall frame depth of 4 1/16” for larger wall cavities. All sashes are removable from the interior, and constructed with integral pull handles with spring loaded snap locks, with additional cam action sweep locks if needed. With the thermal strut construction, these windows have the ability to be a two-tone finish is desired.
